2025 Board Vote

2025 Board Member Vote

Our 2025 season is just around the corner, but we need our members help. We are excited that we have so much interest in becoming part of the Board, that for the first time in a long while, we actually need our members help to vote on potential board members.

We have 3 positions open, and 4 candidates for 2025, so per our bylaws, we need help from our membership to choose who will become 2025 board members.
Please take a moment to read the applicants reason why they want to be a board member, and choose the three(3) you think will be great additions to the board. Make your vote count by submitting your vote by February 28th, so we can welcome them during our March board meeting.

Tara Parotta

Hello! My name is Tara Parrotta, I live in the UP with my husband Eric, our two cats and my sweet gelding, Topper. I have been riding since I was 7 years old, Pony Club, jumping, owned a carriage business for many years and now enjoy dressage and trail riding. Professionally I am an accountant with experience working for CPAs, focusing on bookkeeping and payroll for various size business and nonprofits. I currently do bookkeeping for several small businesses working from home. I look forward to being a member of the TEAM board to help further promote the organization, broaden the scope of membership and garner further interest in equestrian sports as a whole.

Nicole Wozniak

I started eventing in 2012 in Kentucky during the beginning of graduate school.  Prior to that, I played competitive polo for Michigan State.  Once I retired from playing polo regularly,  I became immersed in the eventing life, working off board while I was in school to afford the cost of keeping an event horse.  I was so thankful to move back to Michigan after school and was beyond excited to learn that Michigan had its own eventing association...something we (shockingly) didn't have in Kentucky!  The TEAM events, banquet, Team Challenges, etc., are something that we in Michigan are so fortunate to have and reignited my passion for eventing after a few year hiatus. I now work as a licensed child and adolescent psychologist and direct/founded an equine therapy program in Brighton/Howell. I have owned my horse Noah (lovingly referred to as the baby elephant) for about a year now, and we successfully completed last year's season at Beginner Novice with our sights set on a Novice move-up in the near future. I love him with my whole heart, and he loves jumping, taking long naps, and snoring loudly with all of his (we joke that he has the Sesame Street theme song playing on a continuous loop in his head). I have been an active member of several boards in the past and would love to bring my knowledge and support to TEAM. I am graciously asking the membership for their vote for a TEAM board position so I can give back to this organization of which I have so enjoyed being a part. Go Eventing!

Nicole Maynard

Nicole Maynard-Thomas is a young professional in the industry, currently based out of Cobblestone in Dexter. She’s ridden at the intermediate level but currently has a young horse learning the ropes. She grew up in Michigan but spent time in Kentucky and Florida before moving back to be closer to family. Nicole was recently married in October of 2024 and is now expecting a baby boy due in July.

I’d like to be on the board to give back to the community that I grew up in, and to help facilitate continuing the love and growth of eventing in Michigan.

Sadira Clarke

My professional experience includes over ten years working in the non profit development sector. Most recently working as operations manager for a clean water access organization.
I have several years experience working in real estate development for a nonprofit housing provider. I am comfortable with donor stewardship as well as navigating local, state, federal and private funding sources and to move projects through all phases of development, from concept and planning to completion.

I served on the City of Ann Arbor’s Planning Commission for 4 years and was appointed as a representative to the City’s Comprehensive Plan Review subcommittee. I also served one term on the City’s Zoning Board of Appeals. I have been a board member for Spur of The Moment Horse Club for the last 4 years, serving as treasurer and currently secretary until my term ends in February.

I’ve been involved with the local horse community for many years, as a rider, volunteer and parent. I live in Honey Run with my husband, 10 year old daughter and three week old baby girl. We love having the Honey Run Equestrian Easement in our backyard and look forward to future opportunities to contribute towards its maintenance and development.
